Lead Instructional Designer

Serves as project manager and oversees the development of instructional materials. May supervise project staff. Serves as liaison with outside agencies in the development of instructional materials. Works with faculty to develop instructional materials (both continuing education and for graduate credit) for delivery in traditional face-to-face, web-based, and CD-ROM/DVD environments. Researches and develops case studies based on relevant subject matter or events for delivery using computer and distance learning technologies. Works in collaboration with multimedia developers to develop instructional materials. Assists faculty in integrating instructional technologies in their classrooms. Performs related responsibilities as required.
Additional Job Details:
This position will serve as the lead school-wide instructional designer for developing distance and e-learning materials for faculty and students within the Rollins School of Public Health. Works with faculty to develop courses and stand-alone instructional materials (both continuing education and for graduate credit) for delivery in traditional face-to-face, web-based, and hybrid environments. Conducts training for faculty members seeking to expand knowledge and skills in distance and e-learning. Performs related responsibilities as required. This position will initially work on developing distance/e-learning versions of the school’s MPH core courses and developing stand-alone training modules on select topics.
